Emmerdale Star Billy Hartman who plays Terry Woods opened our new Bingley shop on the 22 March 2008

Simply Wedding Dresses was officially opened on Easter Saturday 22nd March at 2 pm by
 Billy Hartman Actor, who plays Terry Woods in ITV’s Emmerdale.  After the opening by Billy there was a showing of a small selection of dresses from our range, including Brides, bridesmaids and flower girls.

All the models from the fashion show were family and friends, and not professional models

Flowers were provided for the opening by Buds and Bunches who are a local florist in Cullingworth Bradford.

Photography for the day was by local photographer Graham Charles photography of Baildon. Graham is no stranger to Simply Wedding Dresses, as he was the photographer at Swinton Park Luxury hotel in Masham, North Yorkshire where we held our bridal fashion shoot in November 2007.

It has taken four months to source all the fixtures and fittings for the shop as we have tried to replicate a
church, our stained glass window was taken from a local church as salvage and now stands proud in our shop in the fitting room.  We have a pulpit for our reception desk, which myself and my husband dismantled from a church in Durham, it was then painted and made into the reception desk and show area.  All our dresses hang proud from church pew backs mounted on the walls. The reading board from the pulpit is now mounted on the wall. We have a pew in the dressing area for clients to sit and look at our Bridal shoot portfolio.

I would like to take this opportunity to thank all our clients for their support and kind words during the three weeks we have been open before the official opening.  And to all the local businesses in Bingley for their support
